We are seeking candidates for an entry-level position of Field Marketing Coordinator to help with publicity and promotions for mainstream and independent films for a variety of high profile studios out of our Canadian office in Toronto, ON. 

We are open to an Account Coordinator or a Jr. Account Executive depending on experience.

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to an account lead, the Field Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the following duties:

  • Under the direction of a direct manager, help create and execute events and partnerships, and assist in developing strategic promotional campaigns
  • Contribute to creative brainstorms for client projects
  • Support the planning and execution of influencer marketing campaigns, including identifying tastemaker partners and cross-channel trends
  • Assist with media relations including pitching, and maintaining media and partner lists
  • Monitor media coverage and partner postings
  • Attend local events and assist with arrangements and day-of oversight (can occur on evenings and weekends); assist with screening coordination and management in markets across Canada
  • Assist with press tours and premiere events when required
  • Assist with media partnerships, negotiate added-value that optimizes paid and earned opportunities
  • Prepare agendas and data-driven reports for client and/or internal use
  • Assist with mailings, booking and liaising with suppliers, payment processing, and other support tasks
  • Administrative duties including answering phones, shipping/receiving, and general invoicing

 

Required qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A passion for the film and the entertainment industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including editing and reporting
  • Knowledgeable about media relations and influencer relations
  • Extremely detail-oriented; must be able to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines daily
  • Strong research skills
  • A creative and strategic thinker that is ready to brainstorm promotional campaigns, come up with unconventional pitches, and problem solve
  • Strong understanding of social and digital media; experience measuring engagement is an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience, such as an internship/placement, in an agency setting or similar environment, OR a post-secondary degree/diploma preferably in communications, journalism, or public relations
  • Vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement for this role
