Our Atlanta office is looking for a Media Assistant to join our team.

Because we understand consumers and how they engage with media, we take a strategic non-biased approach to media planning and buying and have a culture that embraces both emerging and traditional media.

Our media teams are specialists at expanding reach and frequency, leveraging paid media dollars to generate added value, and designing campaigns that deliver true ROI. We provide a range of research, planning, and buying services across all platforms, including broadcast, print, out-of-home, experiential, direct response, digital and mobile.

 

Overview:

The Media Assistant is responsible for all administrative facets related to media planning, research, and buying. This position also provides administrative support, monitors media-related activities, and generates reports and spreadsheets on a scheduled basis. The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is a must.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles media invoices and addresses any discrepancies in a timely fashion
  • Prepares and maintains reports and spreadsheets
  • Manages monthly and quarterly media invoice reconciliations per client
  • Fields telephone calls and requests from media representatives
  • Tracks all media placements on a weekly basis
  • Supports Senior Media Buyers and Media Buyers, as needed
  • Monitors posts to ensure that the schedules run accurately so the desired media message is seen and heard by consumers
  • Undertakes research using a wide range of specialist media resources
  • Researches DMA’s and media outlets
  • Gathers organizes, and files: media kits, viewer/listener profiles, program grids, coverage maps, and other materials
  • Multi-tasks while ensuring accuracy and quality of all outgoing work
  • Cultivates strong relationships both inside and outside of the company

 

Qualifications:

  • Accounting or billing background is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Major in marketing, advertising, or communications preferred
  • 1-2 years of advertising and/or marketing industry experience preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Willingness and ability to do what it takes to see projects through to completion and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project execution skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be flexible with work schedule, working additional hours, when needed
  • Familiarity with key resources/indicators in the industry such as Nielsen, Abritron, and Scarborough ratings/data is a plus
  • Ability to build solid working relationships with teammates and an array of vendors
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented
