• What is the dramatic ambition?
• How well do writing, performance and direction deliver it?
• Whose world does it reveal, and what makes it distinctive?

Budget is a production input, not a verdict on quality.

Then

Before you say yes

• What is committed: cash, distribution, audience access, or just a promise?
• When is cash payable, on what conditions, and what gap remains?
• Which rights, territories and term, and what exclusivity or future options?
• Who controls release, and what reporting and audience data will you receive?
• How is money recouped, and what happens if financing falls through?

Audience reach is not committed finance.

Finally

Make the evidence useful

• Which decision is still open before funding and rights terms are agreed?
• What would count as enough evidence to change it?
• Whose response are you measuring, and what will you do if the result is weak?

Small, selected tests can guide development. They cannot predict a hit or prove financial value.
